Lake Allen
It so happens that one of the best fishing spots is right next door to our RV resort. You can simply grab your gear and start fishing in no time at all, since Lake Allen is within walking distance. The majority of the 4.5 acre lake is 20 feet deep, making it a perfect habitat for the fish that live here.
This lake is home to healthy populations of bass, crappie, and bluegill. In recent years, several species of catfish have been added to the lake. If you are looking for little to no logistical planning going to and from a quality fishing hole, this lake should be at the top of your list.
Grayson Lake State Park

With over 1,500 acres and 74 miles of shoreline, Grayson Lake State Park has a lot to offer anglers. The lake is full of a diverse set of species, including:

The marina at Grayson Lake is open year round, allowing you to rent a wide range of boats. The Campground Ticket Booth provides you the option to purchase a KY fishing license if you forgot to before arriving, and the booth also has fishing equipment rentals available.
The lake is surrounded by an unusual combination of beech-hemlock trees, creating a unique setting while you fish.
Beech Fork State Park

Located in Barboursville, West Virginia, Beech Fork State Park is a collection of lakes and streams that serve as a great place for new anglers. The main lake is over 700 acres, with plenty of easily accessible areas to cast your line.
